meet dr. kelsea
Hi! I’m Dr. Kelsea, a pediatrician serving families in the Roaring Fork Valley. The first thing you should know about me is that I truly love kids. I love talking with them, earning their trust, and getting to know their families. Children are incredibly resilient, and there is nothing more meaningful to me than being someone a child feels safe with and knows is always on their team.
I have been in practice since 2020 after completing my pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where I also earned my medical degree in 2017. I especially love working with families from the very beginning of their parenting journey. The newborn stage is both challenging and rewarding, and I enjoy supporting new parents as they navigate those early days. Building strong relationships with families and being present when it truly matters is at the heart of my work.
As a parent myself, I believe that giving parents access to their pediatrician helps ease anxiety and allows for more meaningful, connected care. My goal is to establish long-term relationships with families and to positively impact the lives of the children I care for. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, with additional interests in lactation support and behavioral health.
Outside of the clinic, I love spending time outdoors with my family. Mountain biking is my favorite activity, a passion I discovered while working at my cousin’s bike shop in Salida, Colorado. We also enjoy camping, hiking, and rafting together, along with Katla, our very lazy and lovable border collie. I ski (carefully and slowly), love to read, enjoy puzzles and knitting, and bake seasonally when inspired by The Great British Bake Off.
